Insert Your Own Amusing Headline Here - I Can't Be Arsed

OMG. I had four days off last week - coincidently the Chelt Festival though I didn't go to the event personally nor did I watch any race but the Gold Cup live. I was far too busy shopping. ANYHOO my rant today is about when I got back to work this morning. First of all I probably should mention I have a new assistant though they are less an assistant than a pain in the ass who we all reckon has been hired in above my head despite the fact it was technically a receptionists post she applied for. Its JC who used to be one of our drivers. Anyway we do not like each other. No one specific reason just a clash of personalities / working styles & ethics, I think is a good word. IE she follows rules blindly to the letter while I bend them a little if its going to achieve the company its goals in the long term. But Im wandering!

She had been sitting at my desk all last week, which I hate anyone doing at the best of times, especially when they have their own perfectly fine desk. Not content with that alone she literally re-arranged all my things which you'll know agitates me something rotten. My phone was on the left hand side when I prefer the right, my computer had been moved further along the desk, she'd even snooped through my drawers & made comments to J about stuff that was in them. Erm nothing but work related stuff so I dunno what she was trying to get at.

Apparently though it isn't just me she pissed off. All the drivers are sick of her thinking she is boss & ordering them about. J's sick of her taking 30min fag breaks, 90min lunch breaks (gee now why does that sound familiar J?!) & poking her nose into everything especially when it doesn't concern her. Still I objected to her getting the job in the first place as I prefered AT but would J listen? Nooo. Now I'm just sitting back & waiting til JC puts the own nails into her coffin. I knew those two would clash from day one now I just have to exercise patience. I've seen off ever other dumb ass assistant we've had over the last two and a half years after all.

In other news this customer service NVQ still rumbles on, except I should finish it next Wednesday. Woopdefuckingdoo!! Though I will miss my girly chats with my assessor coz being the only girl-ish girl in the office what with JC being a butch lesbian & J only into cheap Matalan & ex catalogue stores, its hard sometimes. Who else have I got to talk fabulous shoes & designer handbags & clothes with??

And finally, I am still in love. Hey babes! x Ciao for now

F1 As It Should Be

Yay! The new rule changes in F1 work so good. Well I say new. What I really mean is that the FIA have more or less gone back to the original format of the sport after fucking about with it over the last three years. I have no idea why they started to do that but they did. Even myself as a total F1 nut found it hard to watch the races with zero drama's or overtaking.

Not anymore! Out of a field of twenty two only seven finished. Thats more like it. I can't wait til these pampered overpaid muppets have to drive in the wet using their own so called talent. They could barely cope on a dry track in Melbourne. It was great from a spectators point of view so hopefully it will now begin to attract new viewers, which can only be good for the sport overall.

Of course British sensation Lewis Hamilton won the race which whilst I am happy about, its not helping my Kubica Championship bet bid at all! I've had a further re-think & might make another bet on Heikki this time if the odds are nice enough.

F1 2008 Season Kicks Off 16.03.08

Ah, its may fave time of year - the future champion racehorses are just being born, its nearly my bday (presents!), its nearly easter (chocolate galore!), its nearly the Aintree & Grand National Festival & of course the Formula One season is about to begin. The drivers I am supporting this year are Nico Rosberg, Heikki Kovalainen, Nelson Piquet Jr, Robert Kubica & most of all Lewis Hamilton (pictured above) of course. Team wise, I'm cheering on Ferrari & Renault. Now the real problem. My bet of who will win the Drivers Championship. I KNOW it'll be Lewis but his odds are so shit (13-8f as opposed to the damn fab odds of 25-1 I got last year) so I'm looking elsewhere.

My gut instincts usually see me right, so Im thinking fairly radically of backing Robert Kubica at 25's. I liked him a lot last year. He has cool under pressure, is quick & has a good car beneath him. He's also tough as he came back as good as ever after a massive crash last year. He's been unlucky in Oz today not to take pole ahead of Lewis in qualifying due to a little mistake which makes me all the more tempted. Fuck it, Im going for it. Denman rescued me for the year so I can afford to stump up a decent wager.

Denman Reigns, Kauto Fails

Hope you all listened to me when I tipped the beautiful Denman way back in Sept/Oct at an ante post price of 7-1. He hacked up & the much hyped main event was no contest at all as Kauto Star never really got into it. If you're after nice odds for him retaining his crown next year tough luck folks. This season will be the only time you'll ever have gotten such a tasty price as he's already being chalked up at 7-4 for next years renewal. I also hope you kept your faith in Whiteoak who battled on gamely to win at 20's.

Im off to pay my credit card bill with my winnings & put the rest towards my re-badged racehorse fund. Its now my "buy your own Denman fund". Laugh all you like but remember: from fluffy foals, mighty chasers grow.

Historic Legend

One of the few horses to ever get three cheers in the winner's enclosure, Inglis Drever (tan & black colours pictured above) romped away to unprecedented third World Hurdle. He also became the oldest ever winner of the race. As he is my joint fave NH horse (the other being the mighty Denman) I have my fingers crossed he'll stay in training & go for a fourth attempt next season. There is no real competition so his owners shouldn't take much persuasion. Get on him now folks antepost for Chelt's World Hurdle 2009!

In other news, my old friend Mister Mcgoldrick won at a massive 66-1 & Im just so glad to see him back in the winners circle that I didn't care I changed my mind over selecting him at the last mintue yesterday. Master Minded looked a bit special so Im keeping my eye on him throughout his career from now on.

Anyway the final day's tips are:-

12.30 Whiteoak 1.05 Breedsbreeze 1.40 Warne's Way 2.15 Franchoek 2.50 Carruthers 3.30 Denman (Festival Banker) / Knowhere (EW) 4.05 Tribal Venture 4.40 Almaydan 5.20 Wingman

15.15 // 11.03.08 // Good Stuff In Ickle Bundles

Heart & courage won the day in the Champion Hurdle at a very nice price (10's) too when little Katchit (pictured above) outbattled his rivals in grand fashion. The supposed hopelessly outclassed mare Kruguyrova also ran amazing in defeat in the Arkle & Garde Champetre rounded off what was all in all good day for me. I personally didn't see any of the races coz I spending my hard earned money clothes shopping but Katchit's offically paid for a nice pair of white gold & diamond ear-rings I indulged myself in.

Anyway tomorrow's tips look a lot like this (assuming they aren't withdrawn overnight):-

2.00 Breedsbreeze 2.35 Silverburn 3.15 Twist Magic 4.00 Warne's Way 4.40 Ornais 5.20 Lord Generous

Good luck again folks & surely to god one of the damn things have to win at decent odds. I need more funds for my next shopping trip on Thursday!
