Pick Pick Pick, A Night At The Opera & Victory Is Mine!!

The Aintree dispute has been settled - Mini Cooper has decided he'll just beat me fair & square at Chester as he has no reason to cheat to win. Canny excuse. More like Im the rightful winner in the first place & all his impartial colleagues at work have told him so this morning. Either way victory is mine.

Pig sick of J nit picking at every tiny little thing with me today.... or more accurately her only knowing half a conversation & just butting in & getting to totally wrong. First she gave me a long lecture because I didn't tell a client on the phone, that they'd be charged a cancellation fee - I didnt tell her because just as I opened my mouth to do so she said quite happily "ooh I know we'll have to pay a cancellation fee & I told the girls we'd have to pay a charge .... " to which I said yes, thats right. I mean Im not going to repeay what the client has already said, where's the point in that?

She only heard half a convo later in the afternoon too. I was quite happily talking to a guy on the phone going over all the details coz he wanted to change a booking where he'd have the bus all day instead of just the afternoon because another school always has the same bus out in the morning. He said he's been in touch with the other school & they said it was fine for him to have the bus all day. Anyway I said I'd have to check that out & phone him back but it would be first thing tomorrow morning. He then asked to speak to JK (coz he knew JK wouldn't phone this other school to check it was ok & to gently remind them they'd be charged a fee for cancelling even though they hadn't actually cancelled) so I put him through but JK was out so E answered instead. I put the guy through, telling E I'd be right over to show him the booking in the diary & to not say yes until i'd phoned this other school tomorrow. He said fine. As I was about to get out my chair, J loomed in front of my desk.

Poking her nose in she aksed what was going on. I explain he wanted to change a booking. Before I had a chance to finish (IE tell her my plan of phoning the other school & reminding them about the cancellation charge) she butted in with:- "no he cant. Does the other school know they'll be charged for not having the bus"... blah blah blah. I never got to finish my sentance coz she took the diary off me & flounced off to E's office. If she just let me get on with my job for two minutes instead of sticking her beak in. Jeez.

On a somewhat random end note I have inherited T's collection of opera sung in English, cds during his clear out ready for his move to Spain. Honestly you happen to go to a free performance just once & something like this happens. On the plus side its in English. Apparently I am the only person he knows that will remotely take care of them. I pointed out wouldn't he want them in Spain but he said he'll be too busy living life to the full to stay in listening to music. So cheers. Your legacy to this world will be making me more culturally refined.

Yeah right! Ciao for now folks

TJ
