Double Crossed & If I See One More Spreadsheet...

Im livid, as is J because this guy that is coming in 2 days a week is on the exact same money as me. He also works somewhere else for the other 3 days which brings hins annual salary to £26k. The point it we have been told for the past year that there is no money within the company to give us pay rises then suddenly within the space of a month, £12k materialises to pay this guys wages. All we've been after is a measly £2.5k a year extra. Now because a Director wants something, its happened within weeks. Amazing isn't it. Its all about jobs for the boys in this place because this guy is a mate of the Director (BR) - the one who wants me out so maybe thats why he is doing this; so I eventually leave. The crafty bastard. Means I can't quit out of principal now. Fuck.

Im fed up with work again, or more precisely incorrect spreadsheets. Normally Excel is my best friend - I use it for every mortal thing - but thats because I've set it up personally. What Im pissed off with is the existing petty cash spreadsheet was created by some fuckwit that obviously didn't know how to fill in the sheet once they'd created it. So of course, I have to be the one to sort it.

Its not an easy job because the mess goes right back to 2004 & it knocks EVERY subsequent month out so the accounts are totally wrong & have been for the past three years. This year its been decided they are to be put right. Of course the fuckwits that made the decision has no idea about accounts nor do they realise we are doing the Year Ends. Any tampering with them now is sheer stupidity. We've tried to clean them up as best we can & they don't look half as bad as last year I can tell you. J, myself & our new accountants reckon we should leave things as they are & just start afresh for the next financial year. We'll see how that battle of wills pans out.

Finally I went to see the movie 300 last night, hence this pic below. It was fantastic & Im definitely going to buy it on DVD. All those half naked muscle bound men. Phew. I don't think T was as enthusiastic as me for that aspect of the movie though! However he did enjoy the copious amounts of blood, battle scenes & sex. Aspects not lost on myself either!
