Return Of The King
Kicking King, my ante post Cheltenham Gold Cup bet returned to the track today in Ireland after two years off due to a tendon injury he picked up when demolishing the field in King George VI chase on boxing day in 2005. I have waited to see him for so long & prayed so much for his safe return & now he's back. He finished a brave second over 2m 1f (his real trip is 3m plus) after leading all the way. He was beaten a little over a length. That price for Cheltenham will now 6e shortening. Hehe. Oh people you should keep your faith in me. I believe only The King (above) & Denman are the only horses alive that can beat Kauto Star in the Blue Riband event in March. Fuck this is shaping up to be a vintage renewal. I can't wait!Well that's put pain to my rant! Had one all ready to go as well. But this news has made me so happy... though on a lower note, my shoes have arrived but I have to send them back. The size is unsuitable. Still I should have them in a different size by next Wednesday. Wohoo!
Oh go on then, I shall rant. J's took the lad we had in for interview on a two week trial starting Monday. According to her he's real good at computers, is a very polite young man & is the best thing since sliced bread.
However back in the real world (& I seem to be the only one living in it) he has fuck all telephone experience which was the main fucking requirement of our job advert & I can bet my life - may I drop down deal if I'm wrong so confident am I ) that within two days of this trial he'll be given the job proper. Then of course he'll turn out to be unsuitable & I'll be proved right again or J will drive him out with her ridiculous control freak ways & down right appalling attitude.
God I have a real craving for half a garlic chicken & chunky chips like I had at a beach side restaurant in Tenerife. Yum yum.
Ciao for now
TJ
