Suprising Calm After An Agonising Defeat

Is there no justice in this world. Obviously God isn't a sporting person. Can you believe that in every discipline England was expected to win this weekend we failed? Actually yes I can. Of course the only sport I care about (second to horse racing) is F1 so I have spent the last two hours feeling sick watching Lewis trying to make history & more importantly win me a shed load of money. Of course he didn't but in the end that didn't even bother me.

I was so proud of the "british bulldog" spirit he showed to fight back from eighteenth position & forty seconds off the pace when he could have just thrown in the towel there & then to finish seventh & a heartbreaking 1pt adrift in the title race. Some of the decisions his team have made for him have puzzled me throughout the year as I (along with many others) believe they cost him the title a few races back.

However all of that doesn't detract from the fact that the boy is special & WILL win the championship if not next season, then one year in the near future. Sadly just not at the wonerful odds of 25-1. He'll never start that long a price ever again - argh!!! Mind you watch out for Nico Rosberg & Nelson Picquet Jnr as they are future champions (probably at tasty odds) waiting to happen.

Still, I hope you all had a good weekend despite our lack of sporting prowess. Ciao for now
